Woman Killed In Highway 20 Collision

According to several news agencies, the California Highway Patrol has stated that an accident that happened near Marysville has claimed at least one life.

The reports show that the woman from Yuba City was driving her Dodge Neon on the westbound lanes of the Highway 20 when she allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway. According to the authorities, she attempted to correct the vehicle, which caused it to drive into the oncoming traffic. A Ford Crown Victoria ended up crashing into the side of the vehicle. The impact forced the Dodge Neon to continue to travel down an embankment. The driver in the Dodge Neon was declared dead at the scene despite many life-saving efforts. The driver and passenger in the Crown Victoria were sent to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

The accident is still under investigation: the factors that caused it to happen haven’t been disclosed.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
