Thor Recalls Motorhomes Over Possible Fire Risk

All units of 2008 through 2010 motorhomes manufactured by Thor Motorcoach are being recalled over an issue with the vehicle’s transfer switch.

The release published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicated that the motorhome models known as Hurricane, Chateau, Windsport, Dutchmen, Magellan, Presidio, Mandalay and Fun Mover manufactured between June 1, 2007 and May 1, 2009 were equipped with transfer switches that may not be adequate to the vehicle, which could cause the transfer switch to overheat.

If this occurs, the overheating of the component could lead to a fire.

To prevent incidents, Thor Motorcoach decided to issue this recall right away and have the issued repaired for free.
