Snowmobiles Have Been Recalled Over Fire Risk

Multiple snowmobiles are being recalled over a possible fire hazard, reports show.

According to the official reports issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Ski-Doo® snowmobiles manufactured by Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. were equipped with a fuel pump inlet fitting that could eventually come in contact with the oil tank. If this occurs while the vehicle is in use, the fuel pump inlet fitting can break, which could cause fuel to leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

About 10,200 units of these snowmobiles were recalled. Affected products are from the 2013 models. For a full list of model and engine type, click here for the full recall announcement.

According to the firm, the products will be fully repaired for free.
