Setra Recalls Vehicles, Certain Models Could Pose Fire Risk

According to several news agencies, Setra has issued a recall for all units of the 2009 through 2013 models of the S417, S417TC and the S407CC vehicles over a possible vehicle fire risk.

According to the official recall announcements issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these vehicles were equipped with ground wires that may have been incorrectly routed near the alternator, which could lead to the chaffing of the wire, causing an abrasion that would damage the alternator ground wire.

If this occurs, a short circuit could happen and a fire could erupt.
