New Flyer Recalls Transit Buses

Multiple news agencies have revealed that New Flyer has decided to issue a recall for a series of transit buses over a possible fire hazard.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the official release indicated that the models of 2010 through 2012 buses known as D35LFR, D40LFR, D60LFR, DE35LFR, DE40LFR, DE60LFR, C35LFR, C40LF, C40LFR, XD35, XD40, XDE35, XDE40, XN40, and XN60 were equipped with parking brake chambers that could experience an air pressure leak, which could force the parking brakes to drag while the vehicle is in use. If this occurs, the component could overheat resulting in a fire.
