Listeria Contamination Prompts Cheese Recall

Several news agencies have reported that several units of cheese products are being recalled over a possible Listeria contamination.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese decided to recall Colby, Chipotle Colby, Flavored Colby, Monterey Jack, Jack, Mild Cheddar and Cheddar cheeses after a random testing confirmed the presence of the bacteria known as Listeria monocytogenes.

To prevent illnesses and keep consumers safe, the company decided to issue this recall along the Food and Drug Administration. The products should not be consumed and any remaining cheese should be returned to the place of purchase as soon as possible.
